Harris’s Old Time Funfair 15th April 2018
By John Peters
About 25 members arrived on Sunday morning for 10.30. Robert Harris gave us a fine talk of the history dating back to great grandfathers day in the 1860s. Then we started a tour of the old yard. We found old lorries and more old lorries, motorbikes, tractors, memorabilia, more hiding in the bushes.
Then we went to the second yard, more again hiding away! Project after project rusting away but most worth salvaging. An enjoyable morning we beat the rain, the Harris family made us all very welcome and thanks to them for inviting us there.
Remember one mans junk is another mans gold.
