Vallance Byways 2017

This day was the first public running of the English Electric Lighting. I arrived very early and as the museum opened early as well a few public came in but around mid morning I was helping with the parking of vehicles and we had cars in every corner we could put them even double parked in places. The plane was due to fire up at 1pm and after a few safety checks the time arrived. On the first try nothing happened and when the engines had stopped turning the second attempt was tried with one fired up and ran for a least fifteen minutes. The second engine would not light up but the crowd were pleased with it, and the event was a great success.
