Northchapel Steam Rally 10 and 11th August 2013
I missed this show last year due to a prior booking, so decided to attend this year.
I arrived early on Thursday morning to find my booked site on the field had been moved so I could not have a flat site. I moved up the field and dug my caravan level on the slope, not the best site but a great view.
I helped the organiser set up the site on Thursday and Friday until I left to go to Paul’s funeral. I got back to the site which had filled up nice to have Richard and his wife next to me with one of his Blackstones. Most of the caravans in the engine section were all jacked up due to the hilly site.
The steam section had a good display of nice steamers, a good number of stalls, some working area’s but some of the exhibits were out on the limits of the site. It needs to be pulled in a fair bit to stop a route march around the site, hope there will be some changes next year.
