Foxleigh Barn Event 6th/7th August2016
Having not been to this event before for many years I was pleased to find it a peaceful and a very friendly event, some people were camping and some staying overnight in Peter’s B and B. Peter and his wife Lyn laid on a super Buffet on Saturday evening, a very good weekend and I hope to go again next year.

I can concur with Ian on this event; I went last year for the day and again this year which was equally good. Peter gets together a good number of engines from both day visitors and weekend campers. Though this is a non public event, there is always something to do as the odd failure occurs needing sorting. This year I took my newly restored Conord 6hp B type for its first long run expecting it to give trouble after needing a lot of mechanical work. Apart from a leaking petrol tap quickly fixed with some PTFE tape, it ran all day only stopping for a top up. Rather smaller and requiring a hands and knees approach was some work on the carb of Johns Trojan mini motor.
On the Sunday there was food left over from the previous nights BBQ so no one went hungry and even some local beer to finish off. All in all it was a good social event, thank you Peter and Lyn.
