August 11th after some negotiation, the owner of Brewhurst Mill, Loxwood has allowed SEAMS to have an open evening there starting from 7pm.
The large diesel engine should be running (subject to some repairs being completed) and possibly a short demo run of the mill machinery (subject to prior inspection). Finishing about 8pm we can adjourn to the nearby Onslow Arms. Shortage of parking space means using the Canal Trust car park (behind the Onslow) and making a short walk to the mill. The Mill is due for sympathetic conversion to a house so this is the last opportunity to see it all working. Numbers are likely to be limited.
