Harvesting the Old Fashioned Way -West Stoke 6th & 7th September 2014

I have been going to this show for a good number of years and have camped at most of them but this year I travelled down both days. The show is a good working show demonstrating harvesting the grain by old machines, with tractors doing the cutting, combining and bailing and an old threshing machine also helping.

A lot of ploughing was being done and some timber being cut on a rack bench. The stationary engine section was a bit low in numbers this year with some collections around the field and a few trade stalls selling allsorts. This is a good working show but does not get a good number of public and although the engines were in a good area, we had very few people looking at them, but I will still go next year.
